This is a museum-quality Coltraenia oufatenensis (formerly known as Treveropyge). It was found in the Middle Devonian deposits in the Ofaten near Alnif in Morocco. The outstanding feature of Coltraenia are the eye turrets containing multiple schizochroal lenses.
The lenses in the eyes of this trilobite are exceptional. The trilobite is 2.65 inches long and 1.44 inches wide. The matrix and trilobite measure 3.3 by 2.99 by 1.88 inches. The trilobite has been repaired on the left side of the pygidium.
