This is a RARE Early to Lowert Devonian Proetid trilobite- Xiphogoinium trautensteinensis from Morocco. The trilobite is similar to Cornuproetus but has long thoracic spines.
The fossil measures 0.99 inches long ( measurement does not include the spines) and 0.99 inches wide (genal spine to genal spine). The entire specimen, matrix and trilobite, measures 2.22 inches long, 2.77 inches wide and 1.1 inches high. Both eyes have incredibly well-preserved holochroal lenses.
The specimen has been repaired through the length of the trilobite.
