Basilosaurus isis Molar tooth

This is a molar or cheek tooth of Basilosaurus isis, also known as 'King Lizard'. Basilosaurus was a Late Eocene prehistoric whale and a mammal. The tooth was found in Western Sahara, part of Morocco. 

The tooth is 3.55 inches long (straight measurement- from tip of crown to the tip of the longer root) and 1.88 wide at the base of the crown. The largest tip has been restored, the others are all intact and perfect. There is some restoration at the base of the crown.
