This is a museum-quality Coltraneia oufatenensis (formerly known as Treveropyge). It arose in the Middle Devonian in the Ofaten near Alnif in Morocco. The outstanding feature of Coltraenia are the eye turrets containing multiple schizochroal lenses.
The lenses in the eyes of this trilobite are exceptional. The trilobite is 2.55 inches long and 1.22 inches wide. The matrix and trilobite measure 3.77 by 2.2 by 1.55 inches. The trilobite has been repaired through the left eye and diagonally across the thorax.
