This is a magnificent LARGE Middle Devonian (probably Eifelian) trilobite of Drotops megalomanicus, from Jbel El Mrakib, Morocco. Drotops resembles a very large Phacops. The eyes have extremely well-preserved schizochroal lenses and the tubercules on the cephalon are pronounced.
The specimen is approximately 4.95 inches long and 2.55 inches wide. The matrix and trilobite measure 5.55 inches long, 3.95 inches wide and 2.55 inches high.
