Eocene Flower and Knightia eocaena
There two plates in this collection. One is one side of the flower (it has been repaired), the other plate has the other side of the flower along with a fossil fish Knightia eocaena. The plates are 50 million years old and come from the famous Green River Formation in Wyoming, U.S.A. The flower is thought to be precursor to the Amaryllis. The fish has been color enhanced been color-enhanced.
The plate with just the flower is 3 by 3 by 0.25 inches. The plate with the flower and fish is 8.5 by 6.5 by 1.0 inches. It has been backed with wood to allow for easy display.
