Erbenochile erbeni
Erbenochile erbeni
This Erbenochile erbeni, a Dalmanitid, is incredibly detailed and has been professionally prepared. It is truly a museum-quality specimen. Erbenochile trilobites are exceedingly rare, they arose in the Lower Devonian and lived through the Middle Devonian. This specimen was found in Jbel Gara el Zguilma, south of Foum Zguid.
Erbencochiles have distinctive multi-lens turret eyes. The eye lenses in this specimen are extremely well-preserved. The genal and axial spines are free of matrix and stand out, giving the trilobite movement. The trilobite is 1.95 inches long, 1.45 inches wide and 0.6 inches high. The matrix with the trilobite is 3.85 inches long 2.85 inches wide and 1.55 inches high.
There is a repair running through the right genal spine and diagonally across the thorax.
The specimen will be mailed out in its own plastic container, screwed down at the base to secure it. Therefore, there will be two screw holes on the underside of the specimen. These in no way interfere with the integrity of the specimen.
